Is this just another calorie tracker?

No. Calories are one input, not the product. Knoomi treats a deficit as a ceiling rather than a quota, and spends most of its effort on whether a meal actually holds you and where the rest of the day should land.

Do I have to eat the meals it suggests?

No. You choose the food. Knoomi tells you how what you chose fits, and when something is worth changing it changes one thing rather than handing you a different meal.

Can I use my own recipes and the food I actually buy?

Yes. Teach it a meal once and it plans with it after that. You can also build anything on the spot, and the food catalogue carries real supermarket products.

What happens when I eat out?

Tell Knoomi the meal and roughly when. It holds calories for it and tightens the meals before it to make room, instead of having you skip them. When the plate arrives, log it — a photo is enough.

Does it work if I'm not cutting?

Yes. The same day-planning works at maintenance and for performance goals; what changes is the target it plans toward, not how it works.

Does the same food always get the same advice?

No. Context comes first. The same bread is the better pick before a hard session and the worse one on an ordinary lunch. Higher-fibre bread holds you longer when nothing is pressing after it; white bread sits easier when boxing is 75 minutes away. Knoomi never calls one food better everywhere. The day around the meal decides.

What can Knoomi actually see, and what can't it?

It reads your training load, movement, sleep, how long you've been dieting, body composition, weight trend and recent intake. It can't see hormones, life stress or illness. When it knows less it gets more careful, not more confident: thin evidence widens the estimate and eases the cut.

How do you keep suggestions sensible?

A better number isn't enough; the meal still has to make sense. No potatoes in the sushi, no cottage cheese on the pizza, no heavy high-fibre plate before hard training, no absurd portions. And nothing applies until you tap Apply.

What's the difference between feeling full and staying full?

Accepted Answer

Satiety is how satisfied a meal leaves you around the time you eat it, so you don't reach for more right after. Coverage is how long the whole meal is likely to carry you before hunger becomes real again. Both are model estimates, a forecast and not a promise.
